Nerdie

Terms of Use

Last updated 29 September 2026

Nerdie is an iOS app published by Nerdie Golf. By using it you accept these terms. They are short on purpose.

What Nerdie does, and what it cannot promise

Nerdie identifies golf courses from the date and location stored in your own photos. That identification is a best effort on imperfect evidence: a picture with no location cannot be placed, a course played without taking a picture cannot be found, and a course next to the one you played can be proposed by mistake. You can untick anything that is not yours, and add by hand anything that was missed. Nerdie makes no promise that a collection is complete or exact, and it is not a scoring, handicap-certification or GPS rangefinder tool.

Your content

Your photos and your collection are yours. Nerdie claims no right over them. The app reads your library only to do what is described in the privacy policy. A photo leaves your device only when you send it to a friend on Nerdie, and it is deleted from our server once your friend adds or declines it, 14 days at most.

Friends and shared photos

You can invite a friend with your personal link, or find golfers by name and send them a friend request, which they accept or decline. Your name, country and handicap are shown to golfers who search for you, unless you turn that off in your profile. You can send your friends photos of a round you played. Nothing reaches your collection until you accept it. There is no tolerance for objectionable or abusive content: do not send anything illegal, sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, or that you do not have the right to share. You can remove or block a friend at any time, and report any photos you receive. A report blocks the sender at once, and we review every report within 24 hours and remove the content and the account responsible when these terms are broken.

The free version and the subscription

Nerdie keeps 20 courses, 200 pictures across your rounds and 20 bucket-list courses for free. A subscription lifts those ceilings, adds the full club details, and lets the app look for new rounds on its own.

Everything you have already collected stays yours if a subscription ends. Nothing is deleted, nothing is hidden: you simply cannot add beyond the free ceilings again.

Accounts

An account is optional. It keeps your collection with you on a new phone, carries a subscription, and is needed for friends, shared photos and rankings. It does not lift the free ceilings: only a subscription does. You may delete it, with its backup and any photos you sent, from inside the app at any time.

Fair use

Do not attempt to extract our course database in bulk, to reverse engineer the app, or to use it in a way that breaks the law. Nerdie is licensed to you for personal use, not sold.

Course data

Course names, positions and details come from OpenStreetMap contributors, from public sources and from clubs themselves. Boundaries are © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL. Photographs credited on a course page belong to their authors under the licence shown there. Nerdie is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any golf club.

Liability

Nerdie is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, for a round that was not found, or for a course identified incorrectly. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under French or European law.

Changes and ending

These terms can change, and the date at the top will say so. You may stop using Nerdie at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend access in case of a serious breach of these terms.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by French law. Questions: support@nerdiegolf.com.
